At Saraswathi Central School, we maintain a set of rules and regulations designed to ensure a smooth and orderly environment that supports the academic, social and personal development of our students. Parents, students and staff members are expected to familiarize themselves with these regulations and adhere to them to foster a respectful and efficient community. Below are the key rules and guidelines that govern our institution:
If parents wish to withdraw their ward at the end of the academic year, a requisition letter must be submitted to the Principal’s Office. The request for a Transfer Certificate (TC) must be signed by the parent. Applications submitted by a local guardian or visitor will not be accepted.
Parents are required to submit the requisition letter for the TC on or before 31st March of the academic year. Failure to do so may result in delays in processing the withdrawal.
The Transfer Certificate will only be issued to students who have cleared all outstanding dues, including annual fees, term Fees and other pending payments. Students with any arrears will not be eligible to receive their TC.
Students are expected to maintain regular attendance and must arrive at school on time. A minimum attendance of 85% is required for promotion to the next grade. Any prolonged absence must be supported by a written explanation from the parent.
Parents must notify the school in advance for any planned absences. Unapproved or excessive absences may result in disciplinary action or affect the student’s academic performance.
Students must adhere to the school’s code of conduct, which emphasizes discipline, respect and responsibility. Disrespectful behavior toward teachers, staff, or peers will not be tolerated.
All students are required to wear the prescribed school uniform during school hours and at official school events. The uniform must be clean, tidy and worn correctly at all times.
Mobile phones, electronic gadgets and valuables are not permitted on school premises without prior approval from the school administration. Any unauthorized items found will be confiscated.
Students are expected to maintain academic honesty. Cheating, plagiarism, or any form of academic dishonesty will result in disciplinary action, which may include suspension or expulsion, depending on the severity of the offense.
All assignments, homework and projects must be submitted on time. Late submissions will only be accepted under exceptional circumstances with prior approval from the teacher.
As a residential school, the health and well-being of our students are of utmost priority. Students are required to undergo regular health check-ups as per the school’s medical guidelines.
Safety protocols must be strictly followed at all times. This includes compliance with fire drills, emergency procedures and maintaining a safe environment both in and out of the classroom.
Students are encouraged to actively participate in both curricular and co-curricular activities. Participation in events such as sports, arts and cultural activities is considered an important part of their holistic development.
Attendance at all official school functions, including national celebrations, school assemblies and parent-teacher meetings, is compulsory unless exempted for medical reasons.
Being a fully residential school, students must adhere to specific residential rules. This includes maintaining cleanliness in dormitories, respecting the privacy of fellow students and following a structured daily routine as outlined by the school.
Visitation guidelines for parents and local guardians must be followed. Unauthorized visits, or leaving the school premises without prior permission, are strictly prohibited.
All school fees must be paid according to the prescribed schedule. Delays in payment will result in late fees and may affect the student’s ability to participate in certain school activities.
Parents must ensure that all dues, including transport fees, residential charges and examination fees, are cleared before the end of each term. Failure to do so may result in withholding report cards, exam results and transfer certificates.
Regular communication between parents and the school is essential for the student’s progress. We encourage active parental involvement through FCP (Family-Community Partnership) meetings, meet-the-teacher sessions and progress report discussions.
Parents are encouraged to check the school’s communication channels, such as the school diary, email, or parent portal, for updates on their child’s performance, upcoming events and important notices.
Any violation of the school’s rules and regulations will be addressed by the Disciplinary Committee. Depending on the severity of the violation, consequences may include verbal warnings, written warnings, detention, suspension, or in extreme cases, expulsion.
In the event of damage to school property, the student responsible will be required to make reparations, including financial compensation where necessary.
Students are not permitted to leave the school premises during school hours without prior written permission from the Principal’s office. In cases of emergencies, parents must provide written consent.
These rules and regulations are in place to maintain the high standards of education and discipline that Saraswathi Central School is known for. Adherence to these guidelines ensures a harmonious and productive learning environment for all.
